The Housekeeping Officer wants us off the ship tomorrow so the
crew can sanitize it. They called a special meeting today in the Queen’s Lounge to present
their plan. To make amends, the ship staff offered
a free excursion for all continuing guests, including lunch. It is the Best of
Rome tour. They asked for a show of hands of who has been to Rome before and
almost every hand went up. There was some grumbling because they also cancelled
all the other tours to Tuscany and other places.
We were planning to stay on board but we decided to take the
offer. It beats spending six hours sitting on the pier. If you don’t accept the
offer, you are on your own to entertain yourself.
